Question

Automatic markers from Audition to Premiere ?

Hello,

I am trying to speed up a workflow. I have an audio sequence chunked out with markers in Auditon. I import the .wav into Premiere and I see that the markers exported with the .wav which is good.

My question is, is there a script or something that will take markers from this audio file and make the same markers (with same marker names) on to the Premiere timeline?

I've put in a number of feature requests over time for the ways that Premiere works ... or in my humble opinion, should work ... with markers. Like being able to change a clip marker to sequence or vise versa.

    Ah well.

I do understand the reason for the twain. Clip markers stay with that frame of the clip, period. Sequence markers stay at that timecode of the sequence.

Edit the timeline, the clip/frame that was at that point is somewhere else or gone. So if all clip markers just were treated as sequence markers, well ... that would a right mess also.

Premiere brings in the audio markers as part of the clip ... notice they're on the clip itself in your image?

The program has "clip" markers that are created and show when a clip is selected, and Sequence markers that show on the Sequence bar. And you can't change them.

Yes I definitely see the markers in the clip. My question was basically to see if there is a way to automatically import those markers on to my premiere timeline, yesterday I had to one by one go to each of the 20-30 markers and manually add the marker. I was just wanted a quick script that would do this for me haha.

I'm on my phone so can't check at the moment, but what I'm thinking is when you move that wav to a timeline the markers show up as clip markers in the wav track, right?
