Broadcast formats for Adstream UK/Australia. Help needed

Hey all,

I'm tasked to export to these formats for adstream. Original video is 24p FullHD in 1080i 25 Sequence.

How do I do it properly do it on Windows? Any templates for clappers, frame indicators, etc. Do I use stock encoder or maybe purchase Sorenson Squeeze (or any other more broadcast oriented software). Would appreciate any help since it's urgent. Thanks!

Any templates for clappers, frame indicators, etc.

ADstream only require a single frame ID Board ( jpeg / png) and the Movie file. ( ie that is 2 files total).

Use your own design ID Board. Mine is kept as a Template in PPro Titler

Name both files the same using standard character 16 alpha numeric standard (but I sometimes append "ID" to the ID board file)

Thanks for sharing! Would you mind sharing the audio settings and the timeline also? For Australia they also require timer countdown additionally to clapper and also frame indicator. All this at specific frame location. I've added the screenshot of what they demand. Wondering how to do this right.

Matt

I use the MXF Spec for Adstream from my Windows PC.

Never had any QC issues at all with that.

FWIW-  I built an ADSTREAM  Export  Preset.

Not sure how to handle the 24 v 25 thing apart from dual sequence edits  ie 24 and 25 fps sequences adjusted edits.

or

Try a 25fps export from original sequence and see what happens.  Let us know.

You could try that export and have Adstream QC it as a test. They may pick up frame duplication!

I find Adstream in NZ very friendly and helpful in that regard. (QC)

Original video is 24p FullHD in 1080i 25 Sequence.

That's...a potential problem.

Adobe software isn't especially good at changing from ATSC to PAL frame rates.  If you need a 25i product, you should have shot at 25i.  If you shot at 24p, you should be delivering at 24p.

The ad is going to multiple channels all over the world (some that do not require 1080i) so it does not really matter how u shoot it. The question is how to convert it properly. If u have done this I would appreciate the help

The question is how to convert it properly.

I would recommend a hardware convertor.  There are companies that offer such a service.
