Camera original Alexa ProRes 444 Playback Issue

I've a new Mac Pro that is hooked up to a Blackmagic UltraStudio 4k Extreme 3.

In Premiere 2020, Alexa camera files play fine on the GUI; however the output to the UltraStudio is flashing green and jumping around in time. When I roll back to Premiere 2019, the problem goes away. The Alexa camera file plays fine on the GUI and looks perfect on the UltraStudio.

Good news. I can confirm that this problem as been resolved in the new PP update 14.0.2 (Build 104). It works now!

That is good new! Any idea when that will get released? I feel we just got 14.0.1 a week or two ago.

14.0.2 came out three days ago. I downloaded through the regular Creative Cloud interface.

Sorry to say, I updated Desktop Video to 11.5 and it did not fix the problem.

I can confirm, this did not fix it.

Mac OS 10.15.3, Pr 14.0.1, BM 11.5 = Bug
Mac OS 10.15.3, Pr 13.1.5, BM 11.5 = Working

I haven't downloaded it yet, but Black Magic released an update to Desktop Video today that should fix the green flashing with Arri file playback. Desktop Video 11.5

I am having the EXACT same issue on my 2017 5k retina iMac but with the Blackmagic "ultrastudio mini monitor." Alexa and Amira ProRes4444 footage. Playback is perfect in Resolve. Sorry I'm not offering a solution but if I find something in my search for a fix I will pass it along.

I've been speaking with both Arri and BlackMagic about this problem. BlackMagic is talking with Adobe. I'm not really sure how to even open a support ticket with Adobe? I always end up on a fourty minute phone call with them and never get anywhere. 😕😕 I just give up after a while.

 

BlackMagic responds in a matter of minutes. Arri actually responded in a matter of minutes.

Hi T8IO,

 

Just curious if you have heard back on this issue from any of the support resources you have reached out to. I was looking at blackmagic's last update for the UltraStudio but it doesnt look like Premiere Pro 2020 was listed as a supported software for them back in October(makes sense).

 

We are encountering the same issue here and wondering if you've got anything new. Very interested in a work around or resolution.
