Canon C200 Proxy Workflow Premiere Pro Windows

Recorded a project on a C200 in CRM. I also recorded internal proxy files to SD in the MXF file extention.

Now when I load the CRM footage into Premiere, "UNLINK" them, and then try to "RELINK" them to the in-camera recorded proxies, Premiere won't let me do it automatically because it doesn't "see" the file names as being the same because both the "_P" that the camera adds to the Proxy files, but also because of the file extension. Now I could't relink them all one-by-one, by hand, but I have over 300 files... not good. I could also try removing the "_P" from the Proxy file name, but that still doesn't work because of the file extension - apparently I can't get Premiere to bypass this... not good.

Any way to use the internal recorded MXF Proxy files created by the C200 in Premiere Pro on Windows? I see instructions for MAC, but I can't get windows to do it.

NOW I KNOW, that I always have the option of using "CREATE PROXIES" to create brand new proxies, but this will take FOREVER and also whats the point of recording Proxies in-camera if I can't use them?

Please help.

Dont unlink the original and try to relink to the proxies but attach the proxies to the original in the Project window.

If you have the original footage in the project you can attach your own proxies.

Yes. I know. But it won't do it automatically because of the "_P" that Canon adds to the files and also because of the file extension. Now, I know there's a 3rd party to to batch rename files, but this doesn't help because Premiere still won't automatically attach with a different file extension.

Otherwise, my only other option is to conect the proxies, on-by-one, by hand... all 300+ of them...

Rename the files. Add a roxy after the P and Premiere will recognize them.
