Hello there,

I've been working on a video compilation in the latest version of premiere, but certain video files (which i believe are all H.264 mov files), import as just a green screen. However on a computer at my school which is running an older version of premiere and all the videos import correctly.

Anyone have any ways of solving the issue?

Let's get some basic info first.

How To Ask For Help

It's so often a major part of helping around here to have some idea of the machine & material being discussed. So for asking for help, it's best to start with the OS/CPU/RAM/GPU/vRAM, the precise numbered version of PrPro (and latest is useless the way the CC Desktop app screws up recognizing/adding updates), and any 3rd-party apps that have been used on the media, such as a camera-maker's software, Plural Eyes, the like. Also ... any external drives used? If so, what/how connected.

Then the media and sequence ... how produced (camera, screen-capture, whatever) and codec/s, frame-size/rate, any effects used on the media from time-shifting, scaling, transitions, Warp stabilizer, Lumetri, whatever.

For an issue like yours, even the method of importing is potentially germane. Did you drag/drop from Finder or Explorer, or did you use the PrPRo Media Browser to navigate to the media on disc, select, "import", then use in the project from the Project panel.

All that said, typically an issue like this is a problem with the GPU driver and/or the GPU itself. So ... in Project settings dialog box, do you have Mercury playback enabled? Or Software Only? If Mercury Playback (or OpenCL or Metal) is selected, try Software only.

What camera created the media?  Have you tested other media?
