Question

Color Grading - weird light leaks(waves) on one clips after the export

Hi everyone,

I hope you all are doing well and staying safe.

I got two strange issues that maybe you could help me fix.

First:

After I exported the video one of the clips got some weird light/color leaks on the skin. (Which are moving on a particular place, in the photo example you can see it in the shoulder area)

I have tried lowering down the sats and vibrance, coz I thought that maybe Ive used too much. But it didnt fix it

In the Premiere I dont have them, only after the export.

Second:

Some of my night time clips which were quite dark from the start so I had to raise ISO which brought out a lot of noise and made me use denoiser after the export have light literally blinking on those clips like if the person would be watching a TV at nigh. The lights from the TV would give that effect ahhah

Im working with BRAW footage and use QT Gamma Compensation LUT at the export

please let me know if anyone ever had such or

similar issues and if there is any way to

fix it or at least to make it better.

appreciate any advice

First thing ... that QT Gamma compensation LUT is problematic. Understand ... that is simply to get around the problems in getting the Mac ColorSync Utility to display Rec.709 media correctly in most players on a Mac. It mods the file to typically look ok on such a Mac, but ... on any other type system, with better Rec.709 handling applied to displaying the video file ... that image will not look correct at all.

Which BRAW extension are you using? If the free one from BlackMagic ... you might consider the paid version from Autokroma. I had so many troubles with the BM raw plugin within Premiere that I finally paid for the Autokroma BRAW Studio plugin, which works. It just works. And also, it has other options like presets and such.

It would be handy if you could post a screen-grab of the issue with the color problems.
