Colour Labelling By Bin

Hi guys

Something different to CC 2018 or other operating issues...

I’m in 2017 and this is a question I keep meaning to ask. Is it possible to automatically apply a colour lable to items when they are placed in a bin?

For instance, I have a bin marked ‘interview’ and one marked ‘B-Roll‘. Is it possible to  set-up the bins so all clips added to the ‘interview’ bin automatically assume one colour (e.g. blue) while any clips added to ‘B-Roll’ all assume another colour (e.g. red), or is the only way to select the clips in the bin and manually add a colour?

Regards,

Graham

Not automatically but when everything is in a bin you can batch change the color.

Adobe need to work on colours. Should be many more choices plus some automatic ones.

Avid, with many more years in this, have the option of showing/hiding different colours, some of which are automatic (frame rates, linked media, offline media) and others are manual (user applied colour, either at clip level or set in timeline).

Sounds complicated, but  powerful & v flexible. Everyone works in so many different ways that flexibility is key.

I am thinking of a flexible option you can switch on or leave off as everyone works in different ways.

Thanks, Ann. Had a feeling that's the situation (unless djrumbu turns up something), but I will put in a feature request as I think that could be useful.
