Converting project to newer version

New Here ,
Dec 11, 2017 Dec 11, 2017

Hey,

I recently updated my version to CC 2018.  Most of my current projects were created in CC 2015.  When I try to open them, it tells me they were created in an older version and need to be converted.  The first few times I did it, it added an _1 to the end and converted it no problem.  But now it doesn't work anymore.  It gives me the screen that says it's going to do it, and when I hit ok, the "ok" becomes greyed out and nothing happens.  It just sits there.  It's not frozen.  I can still cancel, or rename the project, or chose another location but the "ok" remains greyed out and it doesn't convert the project.

Anybody else have this problem and have any ideas on what to do?

Thanks

I tried renaming it and that didn't work but importing it instead of opening seems to have gotten the job done.  It's not perfect... some of the fonts were replaced with other ones an little things like that but it got me into the project so I'll take it.

Thanks a lot.

Instead of open try importing the project

or

rename to something different before opening.

Normally I create a duplicate of a project file, then create a new project in the new version of PrPro and from the Media Browser import the duplicated project.

That typically is more reliable for me on migrating forward than "opening" an older project in a new version.
