Question

Crash before opening any adobe software.

I can no longer open premier pro, as soon as I try to open the app, the splash screen appears then suddenly I get a crash report. I've tried opening other adobe software and get the same error. This just started happening today.

I reinstalled, and nothing's changed.

I reinstalled an older version and it worked after all of these tries. The problem lies with the 2020 update.

Try a different browser to download.

Hey Manny,

Watch the screen as it loads. See the list that is loading up in the splash screen? What is it hitting when it crashes? You can also save, then attach a crash log. Not an engineer, but I can take a look for you.

Thanks,
Kevin

Hello Kevin,

Thanks for your reply. There is nothing loading on the splash screen, the crash report window appears seconds after I launch the app.

I've also looked for the crash logs, but the log folders seem to be empty.

Does your machine meet the hardware requirments? What are you using?

You should run the Adobe Cleaner after you uninstall the programs and before you re-install them:
Also, reboot your computer between steps even if you are not asked to...

Hi,

To my knowledge, my machine meets the requirements see below. I ran the cleaner to uninstall and reinstall premier (restarting my computer between steps) but it made no difference.  I must be doing something wrong.
