distorted/warped video's after reopening project

Hi,

I reopened my project after working on it yesterday. But now the project in the program monitor has warped/distorted images. (see screenshot) On another occassion I had the same problem, but then I fixed it (after reading a lot of Adobe community posts) because my source material had a varaible frame rate. But now I've checked my source material (by clicking on 'properties') and its fine.

Where lays the problem and how can I fix this?

Thank you in advance for the help and tips!

First thing I'd suggest is going back to the Project settings dialog, and for Mercury Acceleration, go to Software Only. If that fixes it, there's a graphics issue. But at least you can export.

Next, if that doesn't work, try software encoding on the export.

Also, uncheck "composite in linear color" in the Sequence settings, and see how that works.

Try updating your graphicscard driver.

Hi Ann,

I've updated my grahicscard driver recently to MacOS Big Sur.

I've added a screenshot of the info about my Mac .

Hi,

I'm trying to retrace my steps to find where the problem lies, so I undertook these steps:

  • Problem with the source material (my own shot footage) - 1920 x 1080 / 25fps /+- 500 MB
    • I've started a new project and uploaded a stock video with the same file size, image size en frame rate. I did no editing and just exported it. The exported video came out fine.
  • Key frames
    • I'm using Premiere Pro to crop and follow an object in a video. I'm using the key frames tool to get my result. I've used a couple of key frames on the stock video and when I export it, it has the same distorted/warped effect as with my own video. So maybe the problems is with the key frames? But what I'm a doing wrong? I'm following the same guidelines they give in tutorial videos.

I hope someone can help me further.

Greetings,
Lee

We'd need a specific step by step detailed list of what you've done to really offer help.
