Essential Graphics Crash

Hello,

I'm very very VERY excited for the Essential Graphics / Sound features in the new Release!

I've been ranting in these echoey forums for better integration and flexibility with the AE text templates since their release; as well as revamping the UI for Audio track Mixer...

Bravo Mike Berry Adobe and the Adobe Team!

I'm reporting what seems a Bug for EG

When selecting multiple objects in the timeline, if one of them is a Graphic element form EG, I get an immediate hard crash

I'm using OSX 10.11.6

Model Name: Mac Pro, Late 2013

  Model Identifier: MacPro6,1

Processor Name: 8-Core Intel Xeon E5

  Processor Speed: 3 GHz

  Number of Processors: 1

  Total Number of Cores: 8

  AMD FirePro D700 6144 MB

  Memory: 64 GB

Premiere 2017.1, and the latest CC of all other apps including AE

Anyone else having this issue?

I'm in the midst of creating templates for my team, but as it stands I cannot afford to roll it out due to this instability

We have managed to reproduce the crash here using your project. It seems to be related to the metadata panel. We can't get it to happen with new projects we create, but your project is enough for us to look for a fix.

I was having this issue (PrPro v12.1.1)

It's now working and I think the fix was changing the workspace layout, then using Media Encoder.

I hope this solution works for others.

Yup- still having this issue, on CC 2017.1.2

We have had to stop using Essential Graphics, and continue to use "Legacy Title designer" in its place.

Are you able to make a simple project which you could share with us which demonstrates this? It is not a problem which we have seen internally.

OK after testing this on a few other systems over here, I've determined that it is a "workspace" related crash- which I've had in the past with text elements. Apparently I'm that lucky guy whos user prefs cause corruptions :/

Any Ideas where I should post this/ or how to describe it?

Thanks!
