Export in P3-D65 Display Color Space

EXR is not part of the preselected HDR codecs that can export P3 colors/Rec. 2020 color profiles.

You'd have to use After Effects with color profile converter but test your workflow because Rec. 709 fits inside P3 so there wouldn't be a gamut change if interpreted correctly in another system anyway.

If I was you I would shrink the WAB down to 1 second and export THAT SMALL SEGMENT the way you think is the best you can do , and send to client. They are a client cause they like you, so no need to hide stuff from them. Send that 1 second to them and ask them if it is acceptable for their system.

I don't think Adobe is really color managed that way. It's too confusing for me to guess what really goes on, but I think if you do some color management you can get your display ( p3 ) to see stuff in your gamut range but I suspect the source, timeline and export are baked into a rec709 space unless you do some tricky stuff, and then it can maybe be a wider gamut but who knows what.

In the image you see davinci 15 choices if color managed. You would choose, while editing, your camera source space ( raw, log etc. ) and the timeline would probably be linear and your export could then be p3. The client you SEND it to, would then use the p3 source, timeline and whatever for export to look at your stuff.

I think you might be misled to think it's already in the right color space in adobe.

But I don't know that for sure and I never did what you want, so take with grain of salt.
