FAQ: Where do I find Premiere Pro crash logs on Windows or Mac?

Follow these steps to find Premiere Pro crash logs on Windows:

Open Windows Explorer by pressing the Windows+E keys.
Unhide hidden folders by following these instructions: https://support.microsoft.com/en-in/help/14201/windows-show-hidden-files
Navigate to the following folder to collect the crash log

OS:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Temp\Adobe\Premiere Pro\23.0\SentryIO-db\reports

[NOTE: <username> is your Windows user name]

23.0 refers to Premiere Pro 2022. If you're using a different version of Premiere Pro, you have to check the corresponding folder for that version. For example, the crash log for Premiere Pro 2022 is stored in the 22.0 folder.

Option 1: The crash report dialog

When Premiere Pro crashes, a crash report dialog usually appears. Click View Report, then copy and paste it into a document so you can attach it to your support case.

Option 2: The Console app

Press Command + Space, type Console, and hit Enter.
In the left sidebar, under Reports, click Crash Reports.
Find files that begin with Adobe Premiere Pro.
Right-click the log and choose Reveal in Finder to grab the raw text file.

Option 3: Straight to the folder in Finder

In Finder, press Command + Shift + G to open Go to Folder.
Paste this path exactly and press Enter:

Look for files that contain Adobe Premiere Pro in the name and end in .crash or .ips.

Tip: Sort by Date Modified so the most recent crash floats to the top — that's almost always the one you want.
