Question

Help with audio after burning onto a DVD

Hello. I exported a video from premiere as a H.264 and converted it to an Mpeg in Wondershare. From there I burned it onto a DVD for a client. The problem is the video‘s audio periodically buffers and slightly skips. I filmed it in HD and I know it takes a quality hit downgrading to SD but it still shouldn’t do this.

The video is 12 minutes long. Does it have to do with something specific in the export settings? Whenever I watch the video after export and even after conversion it’s fine. The problem is only on the DVD.

Never mind. I fixed the widescreen problem. Thank you all who responded about the audio. You were a great help! I know a lot more about exporting and all that goes into it now thanks to you.

Export directly from Premiere Pro using the MPEG2-DVD option. You do loose quality by exporting to H.264 (lossy) and then convert it to yet another lossy format.

Thank you. So when I export as MPEG 2, I will then import both the video and audio files into encoder? I had my maximum bit rate at 8 does that seem right for 12 minutes? Sorry. Not used to burning to DVDs. Lol

    Uncompressed PCM in Wondershare.

Multiplexer in Premiere set to DVD

Audio in Premiere set to PCM

    Read Encore CS6: Transcoding Issue?

You should be exporting from PPro using the MPEG-2 DVD preset so you only do the encoding once
