How to make a unfocused video to be focused

baiscally I was fliming a video on my camera. An I was thinking but in acatuality it wasnt in the end so it came out slightly blury. so I was wondering is their a way to bring the footage back ?

It depends on how "slightly" out of focus the footage is.

If it is only a little bit out of focus, you can try applying the Unsharp Mask effect (it masks the unsharpness) found in Effects > Blur and Sharpen > Unsharp Mask or the Sharpen effect found in Effects > Blur and Sharpen > Sharpen.

 

If it is anything more than just slightly out of focus, these effects will not do you much good.

One trick I have used is to make the less important areas of the frame more blured, this will fool the eye to make the important bits sharper.

Out of focus is out of focus: I would not use the footage unless absolutely necessary.

The real solution is to re-shoot.

But I would go for Richards suggestion.

or

Copy/paste and superimpose to V2, add sharpen quite a bit and lower the opacity to say 50% (used to do this with old SD footage).
