I'm having difficulties setting up a vertical video

Hello,

I'm trying to create a video in Premiere Pro (latest version) that has a width of 1080px and a height of 1926px.

I've already changed the frame size to match the above numbers in sequence settings (using the 'Custom' option).

However when I go to import my images (which are all 1080x1926) in to my timeline, I can see black bars either side of the image in the preview window. Exporting the video seems to still show black bars too.

Hope that makes sense. I would really appreciate any advice with this.

The video doesn't use any footage - it's a simple slideshow using images sized in Photoshop.

Your aspect ratio is incorrect: it is set to 1.33. Should be set to 1.0 in the sequence settings.

Preview window on the left or right side.

Left is Source Monitor, right is Program monitor

Post screenshot of sequence settings, clip properties and and full UI.

Thanks Ann - that's sorted the problem. In future, how do I know what the correct aspect ratio is?

Still images are always 1.0.

How to setup vertical video in Premiere Elements?  There is no "Sequence settings" in there.  Should I edit the Preset xml files myself  to include a 1080x1920 profile?
