Hi All, I am using 13.1.5 and find that when i export an .srt any postioning of the text is lost and it only exports the middle block position. Has anyone seen this behaviour? Thanks

What type of caption stream? Open Captions, Closed 608, Teletext, etc

NTSC or PAL format?

The captions will be Open and the workflow frame rate will change depending on the masters as we are reversioning preexisting material but mainly 23.98 or 29.97, although there may be a few 25fps thrown into the mix.

This has changed in recent versions, and in particular since 13.1.5.

And in any version, it may depend on factors such as the type of caption stream (e.g. Open Caption vs closed etc) and NTSC vs PAL.

What do you have?

I have .srt or W3C/SMPTE/EBU Timed Text File.xml

I can see in Premiere 14.2 that .STL is offered as a export format. When selecting it, it has a frame rate drop down. I sssume i would select the Frame Rate of the sequence.

Thank you for your help with this.

Yes, conversion in a third party tool is one option.

Hi Stan,

I can export an .xml but can't see how to export a .STL. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Kieran

PR does not export position information via .srt export. Also, the options have changed in recent versions. I am not sure what you have for 13.1.5.

Look for .stl or .xml export.

Unfortuntely i need to supply an .srt but i may be able to export a STL and then covert outside of Premiere. Thanks for the answer.
