Question

identify which clip is using "missing font"

I'm working on a large Premiere project with several editor's fingerprints on it. I have a "missing font" error; the font name is "Kailasa".  I want to either install Kailasa, or find where the font is being used, and switch that title to use a different font.

AFAIK, Kailasa is a font embedded with IOS and only available for Apple devices; my system is Windows 10 so after much googling I conclude that Kailasha is unavailable to Windows users.

So my question: is there a search function in Premiere to locate where a font is being used?

Thanks.

Hi there,

Sorry for the delay in response.

I understand this is not an expected state for an editor. I researched on it and found this article: https://www.premiumbeat.com/blog/three-quick-tips-for-editing-in-premiere-pro/

What you need to do is click on the tiny warning triangle in the very bottom right hand corner of the Premiere Pro interface (image above). It will open up the Events window (image below) which will tell you what the original font was and what Premiere has replaced it with.

Let me know if it helps.

Regards,

Shivangi

PS: I've tried exporting Kailasa.ttc from my macbook, and installing it on Windows 10... but Windows rejects it.
