Is Story Plus a part of Creative Cloud or not?

Everything I read on Adobe.com indicates Story Plus is included in Creative Cloud.  However, when I try to access it from CreativeCloud.com I get Story Free.  I started a chat with Adobe, and I was told I need to subscribe separately for Story Plus.

Which is it?  And if it is included, how do I fix my problem and get access to Story Plus?

Thanks.

Apparently this has been a problem for over two years now and it seems there is still no solution whatsoever. I'm facing the same problem and have send an e-mail with my story login but I haven't heard anything back. Is there anyone who has found a solution?

Hi,

The availability of Story Plus is dependent on the Subscription Plan a user has for Creative Cloud. For some plans(like Education), Story plus in not available currently. Story free is available to all users.

For further information, please check the subscription plan details. You can also drop us a mail at : DL-AdobeStory-support@adobe.com with your Adobe ID and we can check the information for you.

Regards,

Sunny

AS a film Student i bought the education bundle with hopes that I would have access to story plus. I have zero use for many of the app developing programs. Is there a modular system being developed or a way to "trade" for useful apps  that a film student may actually need?

I have the same problem. I have the full version of Creative Cloud, but every time I try to use Story, the banner at the top  says I need to upgrade. When I click on the banner, it asks me to pay for the app individually or sign in to CC. I sign into CC again, and nothing changes with Story.

This is so infuriating. I called the help line, and they told me that Story "wasn't included in the full CC membership because it is a web based app," and tried to get me to buy Story for an additional 10 bucks a month. Then I called again, got told it WAS included and then redirected to sales so they could fix it. Sales put me on hold forever then hung up.

Adobe's customer service is rivaling cable companies.

Adobe Story Plus is part of the Creative Cloud subscription. It can be accessed using story.adobe.com. It is an online web application. There is a Desktop companion application available with Story Plus.

Some of the confusion stems from the fact that Story is a cloud service, and some schools have opted to offer students a cost saving subscription that does not include services. If you are a student who purchased or was given Adobe Creative Cloud through your school, you may not have the 20GB storage, premium fonts, or Story Plus. You will have access to Story Free which is a full featured script writing application.

For the full Creative Cloud subscription with services for students, use this link https://creative.adobe.com/plans?plan=edu

Thanks!

please remove the $10/mo fee for 'story plus' for teams or you're forcing many of us to scenios (free up to 3 collaborators), yamdu $5/mo up to 5 collaborators, etc.

Good news! EXCEPT THAT IT'S NOT TRUE!!!

You were probably as delighted as I was on seeing that Adobe Story has now joined the official CC applications and has even been given a two-letter code of it's own "Sy".

HOWEVER, it's still just an icon in the advertising and DOESN'T APPEAR AT ALL on the Creative Cloud Apps menu :-(

SO PLEASE, PLEASE ADOBE, GET THIS UP AND WORKING AS A NORMAL REGULAR APP THAT WE CAN INSTALL AND UPDATE LIKE ALL THE REST!

Adobe Story needs to be a part of all Creative Cloud subscriptions.

What is it doing being left off the Educational subscription and, therefore, unavailable to both students and lecturers?  Sounds a bit blind sighted to me.  I thought Adobe's model was create a volume of users and then convert them into paying customers via subscription packages.  Seems like no one learning or assisting learners will have the chance to even bother using this.  Who wants to write a script on the web?

The absurdity is palpable.  Why is essentially a word processing tool considered beyond a proportion of subscribers.  Again, it appears that Adobe is compartmentalising their International client base in the same style as when they charged/charge American customers less than European customers.

I agree with Paul.

What is the decision to not have the full version of Story Plus available to education subscribers? Imagine this scenario if you will:

Johnny Screenwriter is teaching his students about script writing. He encourages them to get the Adobe Creative Cloud because of the workflow.

Due to her teachers encouragement, Jenny Filmmaker subscribes to the Adobe Creative Cloud Student package. She heard about collaboration and other benefits of working with Adobe Story, but with the Adobe Story Free version she doesn't have all of these features that her teacher told her about.

The rest of the students in the class opt to use the software installed on the computers at school. This education version however has all the features available to the students. They learn using this software and after graduation, most student use what they learn.

I too have been experiencing the same as all of whom speak. I can get passed the customer service part, but I am having an issue with the Story desktop install. I have the full CC subscription, I can access Story in the cloud, but I cannot install the desktop version. It fails every time. I have tried several different Adobe links to the installer without success.

Does anyone know where I can find the latest Story CC for desktop(PC)?

Story Plus in included with a subscription to the Creative Cloud.

Are you a paid subscriber to the creative cloud? If yes, you should get access to Story Plus when you log in from https://story.adobe.com/

Can you tell me if you see Story Plus on the top left hand corner of the screen when you log into Story?

Yes, I am a paid subscriber.  When I would access Story from the apps page in creativecloud.com, it would log me into Story Free.  When I went directly to story.adobe.com, I was able to sign in and it became Story Plus.

Hello,

We tried out the steps you mentioned but are not able to reproduce the issue at our end.

Can you please retry login to Story from creative.adobe.com apps page. If you are still facing the issue please mention the url your redirected to from apps page.

Thanks
