Issues with Encore buttons

Hey everyone.

I'm having some trouble with Encore's buttons on a custom menu set-up.

I work in the film department at a summer camp and part of our job is burning DVDs. We have recently made the move from Final Cut Studio (including DVD Studio Pro) to the Adobe Suite. Now just trying to get to grips with Encore so we can burn DVDs as souvenirs for parents.

I start every project by importing the video file as an asset, and creating a new timeline from that. For this example I'm using Fiddler on the Roof which has 19 chapter markers in it. I have also created 2 custom Encore menus (a main menu and a scene selection menu). The problem I'm getting is when I create a Chapter Index using the scene selection menu I've created.

This is my current set up so far. You can see the custom scene selection menu. Each grey box is a video button that has the type of 'Chapter'. The Back, Main, and Next buttons all have the relevant types too - 'Previous', 'Main', 'Next'. However, when I create a Chapter Index, which then creates more pages in my scene selection, this is my result on every page other than the first:

Is there something I'm doing wrong?

Thanks,

Josh

Thanks for your response,

That link seems somewhat relevant but it doesn't really tell me why Encore messes up once upwards of 18 chapter markers are used. Is there any solution to this or reason why it happens?

Josh

The DVD spec does not allow it. It is not an encore limitation.
