Question

Last few seconds of audio on video clips not there.

So I have a GH4 camera. I shoot 4k and MOV. The GH4 splits files when you record. Now at the end of a split file the last couple of seconds of audio wont show up in premiere. Its there if I play it back with a media player but not in premiere. It never used to do this. I have heard its a windows issue (I run the latest version of Win 10) I have read if you put that file in Premiere on a Mac it will play the audio at the end of a clip but not in Windows. How can I fix this problem?

I believe they will.  But it takes time.

I have the latest 2017 version. So does that mean there is noting I can do about it?

I ended up switching to the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera and using Resolve (because PP doesn't handle CinemaDNG media properly either), so I'm not sure what to suggest on this one.  I only confirmed some older GH4 footage I shot did exhibit the issue when it was first brought up in the forums.

Perhaps installing 2015 will help?  I don't recall this issue showing up there when I was using it to cut my GH4 projects.

Thanks but what is strange is this did not used to happen on 2015 and 2017. Maybe it was after 2017 latest update or a windows update might of killed it. It a pretty bad fault what am I supposed to do?

There's a bug with PP and this media.  Every GH4 shooter is having this issue.

Do you copy the entire card to hdd and ingest via Media Browser?
