Mosaic Mask not moving when tracking

New Here ,
Nov 18, 2018 Nov 18, 2018

I have created a mosaic mask and placed it on the person's face then hit tracking backward.  The tracking window pops up and shows its tracking, the clip is moving backwards, but the mask isn't following the subject.

I have tried check-marking Gang to Monitor - no change

I have verified the speed is at 100.

I have Premiere Pro CC v13.01

I had this working earlier and now it doesn't.

Thanks in Advance

Deb

In order for automatic tracking to occur correctly, there needs to be a very defined difference between what you want to track and the area that is right around it.

Try making the Oval small, so that it barely covers the face and then see if that tracks. If it does, then after tracking you can increase the size of the matte by using the Mask Expansion control to make it larger so that it covers the entire area you want to cover.

I have no problem doing this on my system, can you post the exact steps you are taking?

In my case I apply the Mosaic filter to the clip, then use the pen tool to draw a mask around the face I wish to cover.

I then track it and Premiere moves the mask to keep the face covered with the mosaic effect.

I had this working earlier.  Select Mosaic, use the oval tool for the mask, place it on the subject, hit tracking button - video plays but mask does not move with subject.

THANKS
