Premier Pro Multicam editing

Why on Earth did the multicam editing change so drastically???  I cant stand this.  I used to be able to line up two clips on a timeline and sync them however I please...then drag that sequence into the create a new sequence icon and then enable multicam.  I got a separate window for my multicam editing and I got to KEEP my program monitor.  This workflow does not work anymore?  It seems like there are way many more steps and I cant keep my program monitor.  I absolutely hate this change.  I do not always have my clips for a multicam sequence in the same bin.  So how do I Create a new Multicam Sequence without that?  Why cant I just drag my sequence that has all the clips in it into a new sequence and enable multicam and start editing?  I also was able to just drag the scrubber to where I needed and stop when i needed and select whatever camera window I wanted and continue on.  None of this hit record button junk.  Please someone explain to me how this new workflow works better.  I still haven't figured it out.  I REALLY hate this BAD!!!!!

Manual Multi-Camera Method

You do cut in the Program Monitor, though.  No way around that.

Hello, I have a two camera shoot, and when I try to make them into a multicam clip, it only gives me the option to make a multicam Sequence.    When I load the multicam sequence into the source monitor and mark ins and outs, it doesn't let me create a subclip from the multicam clip.

Can you tell me what I am doing wrong?  I've been reading the forums but can't seem to find anything related to this issue.

Thank you,

Patrice

There is no such thing as a multicam clip in Premiere Pro.  Nested sequences are used for multicam work.
