PREMIERE CC 2018 systematic crash on "QUIT"

Since I updated to Premiere CC 2018, the system crashed EVERY TIME I quit the software.  One or the other does the job you'll say but... I'm thinking this can't be too good.

I'm considering switching to DaVinci Resolve 15, I found it pretty stable on Mojave OS.
I'm having crash on QUIT issue with both Premiere Pro CC 2017 and CC (2019) on iMac 5K (2017) with i7, 32GB RAM and 8GB GDDR. It's ridiculous and my guess is this happens because Adobe Creative Cloud is not designed for mac, it's Windows Software Wrapped to Mac file system. Because of that I am also not able to install it on Case-Sensitive partition (what is it? Year 2000? Come on!)

My solution, that worked, is to clear all preferences and plugin cache by holding Opt+Shift on program startup (alt+shift on crap-win).

BUT, remember to sync your preferences before!

Worked like a charm for me.

For folks still having the crash on exit check your cache location, mine was somewhere in a Lightroom folder for some reason, amended and so far seems fine.

So where is the cache folder supposed to go

Don't think it matters too much but best not shared with another app.

As another update it hasn't fixed the crash on quit problem..... still trying to work this out.

I’m experiencing the same issue.. new to the Adobe Creative Cloud suite of applications.. just purchased this week and this eternal hang on quit has been a problem since my first use.  I’m coming from FCPX.

Here is my hardware configuration running the latest macOS:

• 2.7 GHz Intel Core i7 Quad-Core

• 16GB of 2133 MHz RAM | 512GB PCIe SSD

• AMD Radeon Pro 460 GPU (4GB GDDR5)

I toyed with the lumetri panel and, for me, as long as I close that panel before closing the project and then CMD-Q'ing Premiere, it shuts down fine.

I'm on latest Premiere CC 2018 and High Sierra 10.13.3. Premiere functions perfectly but after saving I have to Force Quit to shut her down. I think...and this is just instincts based on some other weirdness...it has something to do with either Media Encoder or the Scopes panel. Any insight would be great.

This is what comes up every time I quit. Is anyone else getting this? Also, I thought this was a 12.0 project but it wasn't. So haven't tested that theory yet.

This seems to be an issue on an earlier version of Premiere. On CC12, it does not show anything at all. It just goes to the beachball, and that is it.... till you hit cmd+opt+esc and then force quit the app. About the Warp Stabilizer, I have used it on some shots, but the issue is not related to that particular effect for sure, as the problem started happening only much later. Plus, I tried removing all effects and saving and then quitting. Still persists. Hope that helps! Vicomte de Bellefeuille @ChildrensChoice211

Me too! Just started happening today! Question, in the editing session before you had quit, did you use warp stabilizer? I'm wondering if this is causing it

PREMIERE CC 2018 systematic crash on "QUIT"

I have been facing the same issue. Premiere Pro CC 2018 opens my project file fine, but then has a host of problems. The "Editing" tab refuses to work, so I have to edit my films in the "Color" tab. It is very in convenient that way. On top of that, when I am done working on the project, the application does not quit. It stays, showing me the infamous beachball, till I have to finally hit cmd+opt+esc when I can't stand seeing the beachball (sometimes for an hour when I decided to be patient). On cmd+opt+esc, Premiere Pro CC 2018 (Application Not Responding) is the case, ALL THE TIME. I have really been regretting making the upgrade, as it has delayed my deliveries by a week or so across the board, just because of the non-error performance issues that this version seems to have.

Premiere Pro CC 2018 v12.0.0 (build 224)

My system details are below:

MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2014)

Processor: 2.2 GHz Intel Core i7

RAM: 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

Graphics: Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB

OS: Mac OS X High Sierra 10.13.1

Is there any solution to this weird issue? Why would the app not want to quit, and not even give any error? More annoying is the workspaces failing all the time. Please help!

Do you have any issues with CUDA? Since the upgrade to high sierra, my Cuda renderer isn't functioning at all!
