I have some png quicktime quicktime PNG codec with alpha channel, it does not show transparency on premiere.

On aftereffects, it works fine. What can be the issue here? Went to modify>interpret footage and alpha channel is selected in premiere.

I just came to realize that it was not showing because I was using proxies to edit my 4k videos on my slow macbook pro. Turning it off got the transparency to work again. Thank you for your help!

You might try exporting a different format from After Effects.  Cineform offers an option with Alpha.

Transparency shows default black in premiere.

Did you check it with the transparency grid on? Or put a clip under the png?
