Premiere Pro 1.5 reactivate on Windows 7

Hello all,

I recently had to reinstall PR 1.5 on my old Windows 7 32bit system due to a hard drive failure, but just learned that PR 1.5 can no longer be activated due to the server shut down. Came across many posts mentioning CS2, but that is no longer available. Guess I am a bit too late to encounter this issue for PR 1.5......

Is there another solution for the PR 1.5? As that's the program I purchased back then and have been using it to date for capturing old miniDV and editing. Thanks guys.

You can use these programs for capture:

WinDV   WinDV

HDVSplit   HDVSplit 0.77 beta

Premiere Elements can be used for editing:

Easy Video Editor & Movie Maker Software | Adobe Premiere Elements 2019

I think that Premiere Elements is now 64bit only... OP said Win7 32bit

No... CS2 and earlier are completely dead programs now

At one time there WAS a special version of CS2 that did not require activation, but even that is gone

I read one message that a CS2 user was able to talk support into providing the links to the non-activation CS3 by providing their CS2 serial number to support... but that was awhile ago, so I don't know if support will do that now

Adobe removed old links from public view https://theblog.adobe.com/changes-to-creative-cloud-download-availability

-also read https://prodesigntools.com/adobe-limits-software-downloads.html

IMPORTANT NOTE:

The process below WILL NOT WORK if you have a (CS6 or earlier) serial number for an education or volume version, since the only downloads now available are the retail installers, which DO NOT work with an education or volume serial number

Go to https://www.adobe.com/about-adobe/contact.html

-click on the Chat bot on the bottom right hand corner of the first screen

--the chat bot is the circle with a funny looking box with 3 dots inside

-click on Downloading or Installing, then type Agent

Do NOT let the support agent tell you to come to the forums for help... no user in a public forum has access to Adobe's internal links, you MUST obtain the program and update links from Adobe support

AND when you finally do have a download link, be sure to copy every file you download to an external drive (or 2 or 3) so you never have to hunt for download links if they are moved again... also make a text file containing ALL of your serial numbers and copy that file as well

For anyone else reading this

Never post private information on a public forum... including your actual email address or phone number

Scammers try to steal serial numbers and other private information by posing as Adobe employees... Never give your private information to someone who contacts you via PM (Private Message) or email until you are sure that person is an Adobe employee (see next)

When an employee asks for information (identified by a STAFF badge where my ACP badge shows) hover your mouse over their name and then click the Message option in the popup window to send a private email

Adobe does not use Skype... if someone asks you to talk to them via Skype to "help" you, immediately report their Adobe ID in https://forums.adobe.com/community/forumhelp/forum_comments/content so the person may be banned from the forums

Thank you, John. I'll try to contact them to see if they can come up with a solution!
