Premiere Pro 2017.1 crashing when using CrumplePop EchoRemover

I do not know if CrumplePop EchoRemover is the source of the crash, but it seems the most likely possibility. Is anyone else running into this issue? I have uninstalled and reinstalled CrumplePop EchoRemover with the FXFactory app. I'm using OSX 10.12.4 on a MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013) with 16GB of RAM. I've also noticed that Premiere eats a bunch of processing power when it first starts up, which it did not do in previous versions.
