Premiere Pro 2020 Peak Limiter gone

Hadn't updated Premiere Pro in a while, and it all of a sudden got very glitchy/laggy and started dropping frames like crazy. Tried everything I could to solve the problem WITHOUT updating, but nothing worked so I updated to 2020 and now my favorite audio effect, AU Peak Limiter is gone. Is there anyway to get it back? I feel like it has to still be on the system as it is an AU plugin. And the new Hard Limiter is not as clean as the old Peak Limiter so using that instead really isn't ideal for me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Go to Preferences > Audio > [Audio Plug-in Manager...] (Button at bottom of Audio pane)

You may need to [Scan for Plug-ins] if none are listed. Use the search box to find AUPeakLimiter and make sure it's enabled. It should still be on your system as it's an Apple AU effect not Adobe.

Which version of Premiere was that in? Or Audition?

And of course, you don't need to remove a previous version to add a newer one.
