Premiere Pro 2020 Update Render Effects In to Out

Hello,

I recently updated to PP 2020 and under the sequence settings at the top I can no longer find the Render In to Out option.

I used to set in and out points when area on my timeline were highlighted in red due to heavier effects. I would quickly render the in to out point so I could play it back without exporting. But I can't find this anymore....

Thanks

Correct answer MyerPj

It's actually the Work Area Bar that is causing that behavior. Turn OFF the Work Area Bar on the Timeline Pancake menu and then you can render in to out.

yeah, is understand that, just trying to find a workaround for you.

turn the work area bar on in the timeline menu for your sequence as in the attached screen grab.  then you can drag the ends of the workarea in the timeline to define an area in the timeline.  You can also use this to define an area for export.

you can set a workarea in the timeline and your video showed render workarea was available.  Post back if you don't know how to do that.

Or are you talking about the track panel question.  On the left of the timeline is the patch panel and the leftside is your source and the right side is your sequence.  many things that you try and do in the timeline such as pasting to a specific track require the correct track to be enabled in the sequence side of the patch panel.  Just enable all of them and see if that makes render sequence in and out available.

Yeah but I dont even see the render sequence option....its not there...usually it would be greyed out if the operation wasn't available

still there for me.   are you sure the timeline is active when you go to the sequence menu?

well, until we figure this out, whatabout setting the workarea to the in and out?

Could it be because you don't have the video tracks enabled in the patch panel?
