Premiere Pro and Media encoder boots my Mac when i import files

When I try to import files to a fresh new premiere project or to media encoder. My MacPro19 restarts (not shutdown). It is not a heating issue since I have observed the core temperatures and all temparatures that i can see. Same files same machine same room temperature.

My files are 4K DCI 10 bit 4:2:2 H265.

I do not think this is related to file spec since I have been using these files for at least 6 months.

and also Imac Pro 2017 can import them.

Just a side note. This started to happed rite after I started to experiment with Canon Eos R5 raw and 4K 120 fps files.

I have macOS Catalina 10.15.5

Mac Pro 2019 16 Core with 196 Ram. Afterburner and two Vega II

Adobe Premiere 14.3.0

This is the log:

Can you clarify what you're doing when the restart occurs. Not sure what "of to media encoder" means.

Sorry for the typo error...

I edited my question..
"When I try to import files to a fresh new premiere project or to media encoder."

Basicly When I try to import H265 files to Premiere or Media Encoder, my computer restarts.

Kbirand,

HEVC up to 8K is currently supported. That said, this format is typically at 8 bit, not 10 bit, but I think it should still be supported. I have seen anomalies with 10 bit HEVC files in the past that were generated by a drone. I believe they were fixed, thoug. This 10 bit HEVC file sounds like a similar, but worse situation. I think it all boils down to one word: Catalina. A number of files are causing machines to panic these days. A sample file would be ideal I can test with. Can you upload one?

I am not sure which program exported that file. I'd like to have more info on that so I can file a bug. I would go back and get an 8 bit version of the file to see if that will be working better on that specific OS.

Thanks,
Kevin
