Premiere Pro CC 2018 Won't Load

The recent update of Premiere Pro CC 2018 will not load on my iMac, no matter what I try (i.e. reboot, reinstall, etc.)  It works fine on my MacBook Pro.  On the desktop, I have installed the previous version (2017), and it works fine.

Upon attempting to launch, I get the splash screen for a few seconds, then the dock icon continues to bounce for several more seconds, finally, I am left only with a 'force quit'.

Late model 27" iMac running 10.11.6 with 32gb memory.

How did you go back to previous version 12.0.1?

Johand, on you Creative Cloud task bar, under apps> go to Premiere Pro.

Next to the OPEN or Update button is a little down arrow.

    Click that.

It will give you a list of Open, Learn more, Tutorials, Other Versions, Uninstall

Click Other Versions and select the previous version.

It will reinstall the selected version.

I was having the same problem with 12.0.1. I had to drop back to 12.0.0. It works. I'm guessing the folks at Adobe will be working on 12.0.2 on Monday.

Something like the others ... I uploaded the new version (12.1.0) on Friday (4/6) on my Windows 7.0 64 bit workstation, but it replied "... unable to start correctly (0xe0000005)."

I went back and reloaded the previous version. Now, that version is introducing artifacts into my video clips on a standard 1080p30 timeline. Reloading clean files produces similar artifacts in different locations (on frame at a time). I can't render or export uncorrupted files! This has never happened to me before. I am screwed on a interview project is due deliver tomorrow!

2018 is a nightmare. I still can't get it to open on my iMac, even though I had been using it before. It won't let me uninstall it and will just say "update". I was finally able to install CC 2017 and then use this amazing technique to downgrade my project since it was started on CC 2018. Open a New Premiere Pro Project on an Older Version[Mac]! Downgrade a Premiere Pro Project! - YouTube

I hope it works for you! Only takes about 10 minutes if you can get 2017 to open. I don't think I should be paying $85/month for a program that has zero support and leaves me searching for Youtube videos to be able to open my project. I've been an editor for 20 years and have never had such a drag of a time with an editing program.
