Premiere Pro CC: Unwanted stroke on drop shadow?

New Here ,
Sep 18, 2019 Sep 18, 2019

I created a title in Premiere Pro CC (2018 version) and I want it to have both a stroke and a drop shadow. However, when I added the drop shadow I noticed it also has a stroke. I can't find a way to disable this. The only thing I can think of is to instead manually add a new text layer and place it below the first one to act as a drop shadow, but since I'm making subtitles for a whole video I think that would be way too much work. I also can't change the opacity of the drop shadow to 100%, because I'm going for a certain look with the subtitles and I want the drop shadow to be transparent.

I looked online for a solution to this but couldn't find anything. Tried the 2019 version and the problem persists. I used another version of Premiere Pro CC years ago and I remember in that version the stroke and drop shadow weren't automatically linked together like this. Adding the drop shadow before the stroke doesn't work either. Does anyone know what I can do?

I created the title by adding a new text layer under the Graphics tab, then I edited it in Effect Controls.

I tried recreating the title with the Legacy Title tool now and finally got it to work the way I want it to! I find the new version of Premiere Pro much more difficult to navigate, so I hadn't found these tools on my own. Anyway, the problem is solved. Thank you kindly!

ストローク(輪郭)を表示させたくないということですよね。

その場合なら、ストロークのチェックを外します。

下図を参考にしてください。

Thank you, but disabling the stroke altogether wasn't what I was trying to do. I wanted to keep the stroke, but make sure only the main text has a stroke and not the drop shadow too.

Upload screenshots to try to see what happening with your titles. Also tell us what GPU configuration you have.

I'm not sure how to check that, is that PC only? Because I use Mac. I tried to attach a screenshot, did it work? Left side is with stroke disabled and right is with stroke enabled. I'm new here so I don't know how to use the forum properly yet.
