Question

Premiere Pro crashing constantly

So my PP has started crashing in recent weeks.

I surfed around and was suggested to do a media cache clean (check), and then a presets reset (check). This seemed to resolve the issue.

But this week i am back to editing, and the same very regular crashes are happening - to the point that i can't work.

I tried again the media cache and presents reset, since that seemed to resolve the issue last time, but it has not, the crashes are still happening.

Can anyone help?

Many thanks if you can!

Kiya

    Hi Kiya,

I am sorry for the crash issue.

    1. What is the version of Premiere Pro? Have you updated to the latest version?

    2. Is there an error message after the crash? post a screenshot of the error message FAQ: How do I capture and post a screen shot or video?

    Thanks,

    Vidya

I am also having the same issue.  Premiere crashes every few minutes, usually it seems when I am editing the project panel/clip or folder names.

    System details attached.

    Hi jfjuk,

    1. What is the exact location of the Media/Footage? Is it in the external drive? If yes, move the media to a different drive & test.

    2. Are you logged in as an Administrator? Do you have an other Administrator account in this machine? If yes, login using that account & test.

    Thanks,

    Vidya.
