Premiere Pro Proc Amp video effect isn't working anymore

Earlier this month, I used the Proc Amp effect in Premiere Pro to change the color saturation of several clips to 35%. After installing two different Premiere Pro updates, those clips now show up as simply a black screen. Adjusting Brightness, Contrast, and Saturation don't return the clips to the way they looked a few weeks ago. The only way to get the clips to be viewable at all is to remove the Proc Amp effect completely. What happened? How can we go back to the way things were?

Having the same problem, even after installing the newest 14.03 update.

Anyone find a solution to this issue?

Hi, very sorry to say, like you on latest software release,  I find it is still the same. I updated last week and started a new project in HDV using AVCHD material, but have also tried it with MP4.

Luminetti seems to be the working default now, but it takes longer to sort a  clip out and am not sure it has the same range either as Procamp.

I do wish, considering this is expensive pro software, Adobe would check these things before they change them and similar,  also all but removing the quick titler and hiding it as File/ New/ Legacy title and also dropping lot of its quick sample fonts; even though it is very simple to use (though a bit glitchy to do long scrolls). Grrr!

Hi did you ever resolve this? I have exactly the same problem and am running the latest software updates, although this happened a few months back, perhaps when the Mask options in proc amp appeared in a major update; I have played with the mask settings in case you have to create a mask for the effect, but they do nort seem to correlate with anything the contrast control has as in the 'shutter' effect .

I am running on Windows, everything else seems fine. Prem Pro 13.1.5 version. Would be good to get Proc amp back it was a quick fix!

What happens if you delete the effect and start over?

The same thing, it takes the video and makes it black. Taking the Contrast setting in Proc Amp from 100 to 0 serves essentially as a vertical wipe from right to left, removing the black and revealing the unchanged video file. The Saturation setting seemingly doesn't change the video file anymore at all, as it had before the two Premiere Pro updates.  And taking the Brightness setting from 0 to 100 makes some parts of the video file faintly visible but with a green and red hue, while taking Brightness to -100 makes those same faint parts of the video file magenta. The only change made to the project since it was completed on April 3 was installing the two Premiere Pro updates and then opening the project and getting the "This was created with an earlier version of Premiere Pro and must be converted..." message.

Make new project and import this one.

    Apply effect

    See how it goes.
