Premiere Pro Wont Even Attempt To Sync After Clicking Sync Button

Hey, so I am doing a carpool karaoke video, I have several camera angles/camera audio. I have had no trouble getting all of them to sync and have edited all the camera angle changes and camera audio effects. I need to add the songs (which are the exact audio files played in the video) yet when I put the song file (I've tried both .aiff and .m4a) in, highlight the song and camera audio, and then right click and click synchronize, It does its little thing where it says processing audio but when its done, nothing happens, nothing has moved and the music is still out of sync with the video. If it can't find the matching audio it would have told me because its happened to me before when trying to sync the wrong clip but this is not the case, premiere should have no issue finding the matching audio. Anyone know why this would be happening/what I can do to fix it???

Any fix for this yet? I have the exact same problem, trying to sync camera audio with lav mic audio.

They should be exactly the same. There are 3 songs, they were burned onto a CD and played in the car, I took the CD and ripped it onto my computer to sync, should be exactly the same. I've tried doing it manually and it still has a little delay no matter how hard I try to do it.

Huh?  Can you elaborate on that?

Sync it manually.  Takes but a few seconds.

Are they different in any way? I had a problem on an 8 camera shoot a few years back but we realized the audio was the entire concert and they had edited it the audio. It did not sync. We ended up trimming the music then it was fine. Could that be the problem?
