Setting Audio Panning by default

Hi!

So in my quest to move over to PProCC I am finding just small little things that I can't find the "fix" for. I am used to having mono audio from up to four sources coming from a P2 Camera. Typically wireless microphones from Ch 1 and 4, Shotguns on 2 and 3. (Totally different story why that configuration) When I edit typically I have Dialouge/Interviews on 1 or 3 nats and the like on 2 and 4. When we were on Avid we had it set by default that it would automatically pan odd channels to the left and even to the right, which worked well for our archives having the split audio, and somewhere up the line it was pushed out as dual mono filling both channels, so everyone was happy.

How can I get Premeier to default to a similar odd channels pan Left even channels pan right setup?

Thanks!

Set the sequence up the way you want, then click on the drop down menu next to the Sequence's name in the timeline and choose Create Preset from Sequence.

Once this is done, when you want a new sequence File > New > Sequence . . . and choose your custom preset.

An excellent start, but now can Inset those as a default without having to remember to modify clips every single time I dump New material into a project?

Not sure.  Check through Preferences and test.
