Severe playhead lag and choppy video playback
Hi Folks,
Bear with me, I'm normally an audio guy and doing some video editing for a client.
The client gave me an mp4 of a zoom recording they did. I brought it into Pro Tools and did some noise reduction/audio sweetening and bounced it audio-only. In premiere, I removed the original audio track from the video and linked my new audio exported from PT.
I am getting really terrible lag on the play head and it will often take a number of seconds to start or stop playback and the video is choppy compared to the source file. Basically it's making the video uneditable for my purposes.
I have tried uninstalling, running CCleaner, and reinstalling the latest version of premiere, and reducing the video playback quality to 1/8th, none of which have seemed to make any difference.
System info:
Windows 10
Intel i7 6700
32GB RAM
GeForce GPU
Video info:
.mp4
Codec: H.264
FR: 25
Original audio SR was 32k however it was converted and upsampled to 44.1k when I was working in PT. Since I removed the original audio track in premiere I'm not sure how this would affect anything, but I figured I'd mention it just in case.
