srt file 2/3 seconds delay

Hello, I am using Prmier 2020 and have expotetd an SRT file but when I upload the SRT file to the video in our player, the subtitles are showing a 2-3 seconds delay. In Premier timeline, I made sure the captions start at th everybegining of the timeline. I am using Open captions. Did anyone experience this and how can I fix this delay?
