The Adobe product that installed Media Encoder has not activated

My Adobe Media Encoder CS4 was working perfectly.

I even exported a video one morning and that same afternoon it refused and gave me the following message:

"Thank you for using Adobe Media Encoder CS4. The Adobe product that installed Media Encoder has not activated.

Please launch and activate that Adobe product before continuing to use Media Encoder"

I reinstalled a couple of times, but nothing changed.

I uninstalled and installed CS5, it launched once then gave me the same message all over again.

I even tried to install it on another computer and it's giving me the same result.

I have been working on this video more a month, and I can't even export it.

Can anyone help ? I have a deadline to meet

Thanks a lot

    Go into:

    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Media Encoder CS6

    delete amtlib.dll

    Go to :

    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Pro CS6

    copy amtlib.dll from there to:

    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Media Encoder CS6

If you use 32-bit versions or version prior to CS6 then choose the correct folders for your case.

    Same error here.

I haven't tried to re-install CS5.5 yet. But I have a computer lab in a school and re-installing all of the computer is a bit of a pain..

And this is not the only problem we are having with adobe products, but that's another story (we should stop wasting our money hey?)

Anyone with a solution would be awesome!!

    Thanks!!

Getting the same error when trying to launch AME. Premiere Pro 5.5 and Flash are all working and are activated. Any solution to this or a tmp file I need to delete?

Along with Harm's questions, here's one more:

Did you, in fact, Activate your PrPro? This is not Registration, but a totally separate action.

    Good luck,

Premiere Pro is working just fine it's only the Media Encoder that's not.

Even if I start it on its own it doesn't launch

When you reinstalled, did you use the Adobe Clean script between uninstall and reinstall?

Are you running a retail version or the trial version?

I tried it on a trial version then I entered the key and it didn't work both ways
