transparent TIFF with alpha channel showing up in PP as flattened image

Hi guys, trying to use a transparent TIFF with alpha channel in PP, but the area that's masked off with an alpha channel is showing up as a white background instead of transparent. I've opened the modify--interpret function and made sure "ignore alpha channel" is not checked. Any other suggestions?

Convert to .psd, .tga, or .png with alpha? Never tried a tiff in Premiere myself

Thanks

Jeff

If you look in the Preview Area in the Project Windows

Does it tell there is alpha?

White usually means no alpha.
