Newbie here!

I recently switched from FCPX. I am trying to figure out the shortcut for extending or shortening a clip within the timeline by single frame increments for precise editing within Premiere Pro.
If you are familiar with FCPX, the keyboard shortcuts for doing this were comma (,) and period (.)

Thanks so much for your time.

Hi there,

Welcome to the community!

Did you try the suggestion given by @MyerPj. Check out this article to know about the keyboard shortcuts available with Adobe Premiere Pro: https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/using/keyboard-shortcuts.html

The shortcut you are looking for called Trim backward/forward.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

Regards,

Shivangi

With a standard edit selected (click once on the end of the clip in question). Then use ctrl-left or ctrl-right to change the end frame of the clip. Try it with other edit types selected (like ripple edit, etc)
