when i save as my project it disappears and is blank

i save as a project and it becomes blank. I click on it and it says how would you like to open this

You may need to right click the file and set PP as the default program?

i have figuired the problem i just have to do open the project from files

Aldion,

Actually, all you likely need to do is reopen a previously opened sequence. It's easy to get confused since the icons for both clips and sequences (timelines) look nearly identical. I explain the issue here.

I don't understand.  Try and describe in detail what you're doing.  Have you worked on a project and then done a save and all your work disappears?

 

And it's always helpful to tell us what your computer specs are, the version of premiere you're working in and what kind of material you're editing (codec, frame rate, pixel dimensions).

What happens when you open Premiere Pro and click File > Open and choose the project file?
