Zoom Crop Problem After Rendering iPhone Footage

Hi and thanks for fielding my question. I'm editing a very simple clip taken with my iPhone 7. When in the effects browser I crop the clip and zoom to make the crop fit the frame, the video looks great. Until I render. Then the frame is all wrong, filled completely with a small part of the clip area. So after the render I see a corner of the image rather than the crop I intended.

After searching through forums for an answer, I'm aware that some settings may affect this, but have no idea how to manage through fixing the issue. Here are some details which may help:

Premiere Pro CC 2017

Toshiba laptop on Windows 8

Image Size: 1080 x 1920

Frame Rate: 30.00

Aspect Ration: 1.0

I appreciate help finding a solution. Thank you!

Notice the second clip has been rendered, zooming in too far after the render. Before the render it looked like this:

It's a Windows 8 on 16 GB. Pretty strong Intel processor (1.60GHz). Not sure what else I ought to provide.
