Question

Project not found after reopening Rush - No .pproj export

I used Adobe Premiere Rush and spent more than an hour on a video. I exported the video, watched it, and then encountered a mistake. When I tried to find the project again, it was gone.

It seems that the software only exports mp4, but it cannot save projects in Adobe Premiere format. This is insanely disappointing; I don't understand how hard it could be to add a "Save as" and "Export" button separately. I can't believe  Adobe is finding new ways to disappoint me.

Mod note: The title was changed to reflect your problem.

Hello @Natberry_,

Thanks for writing in.

Sorry to hear that. Was this a new project you just began, or one you began sometime earlier? Which device were you editing on? Was it a mobile device or a desktop computer? What kind of media were you editing?

Right. However, you can open a Rush project to Premiere Pro (from the Home screen) if both are on the same computer. If your Rush project is on a mobile device, you can manually move the files and open the Rush Project that way. See this discussion: How to Move Rush files from Mobile to Desktop

Let me know if you need help with that.

Thanks,
Kevin

Okay thank you, I was really angry when I posted. I was working on a desktop PC a new project, I exported the project (it exported on mp4) then I went to home and the project was gone. I thought I could export it in .pproj since I only got a mp4 but I couldn't. I was able to do what you said, opening the project in Premiere Pro from the Home page called "Untitled" but for some reason the sequence is only divided in the audio track and video track, and I originaly had some other tracks like a logo and other things I was editing instead, but it seems like it merged all the video tracks into one.

Hi @Natberry_.

Thanks for detailing your experience. Sorry, you have been having problems with Rush. Were you working on a PC in one place and then coming home to log in to your computer there but not finding your project? I'm so sorry, but Rush doesn't have the cloud sync feature it once had. You have to manually move the file. I hope that is clear now.

I'm happy you could transfer a project from Rush to Premiere, but the results sounded messy. Sorry about that. Can you try the test again with a new project and check the results? I hope the test will be a success. Take care.

Thanks,
Kevin
