Why is the sync with CC files feature being removed from Adobe Rush? That's literally the main reason I use Rush. This is not good news.
For those who don't know, here is Adobe's message, posted 4 days from my question:

Here's an update about the changes:

Same. This is bad. I don't quite understand why they aren't creating an alternative method for syncing using iCloud / Dropbox / Google Drive. Makes no sense. This is going to kill Rush.

Will it be possible to transfer/migrate Rush projects created on the mobile app to a desktop after discontoniation of Creative Cloud Synced files?

By default, Rush saves its files locally. So, you can still use Rush to create and save complete video projects locally on your device or computer.
The loss of sync only comes into play if you want to move your project between platforms. However, the good news is there are workarounds for moving Rush files from mobile to desktop, to Windows or Mac, if needed. Then, after moving/exporting the files, Rush projects can still be opened and edited further in Premiere Pro:

I agree.
I teach an editing class and I often tell students to use Rush to get a homework project started (in their phones....not everyone has a fast computer) and then move them to the editing lab computers via creative cloud. And THEN convert them to Premiere PRO for the Final Cut. This change completely ruins that workflow and now I'm going to have to tell the entire class to switch to iMovie! Insane. We have a contract with Adobe for this very purpose: working cross platform and syncing to cloud.
Can someone please tell me there's a workaround?

Yes, please see the previous post above dated Mar 10, 2025 with two links to check out for a workaround.

Thank. I've had a look at that thread and the links, but that doesn't really specifically answer the question of how to sync across devices (begin a project on an iphone, do touch ups on an iPad, and then do the final cut on a mac, for example).

Starting from mobile, it would be the second link given above.
There is no more auto-sync. It's a manual process instead, meaning you're moving files by hand between devices and apps.
