Can RH automate a specific header/footer structure in print output?
Using RoboHelp 7, Microsoft Office/Word 2007.
I need to produce a printed deliverable from RH that has a specific header / footer structure. I see that RH already builds header/footers into the printed output automatically, inserting the name of the project into the header and inserting page numbers in the footer, which is great. I just need the print output to pick up and place different information in those header and footer elements. How do I tell it to do that?
Header:
Must have alternating page setup: On the "binder" side, the manual name must always display. On the "margin" side, the name of the chapter must display.
Footer:
Must also have alternating page setup: On "binder" side, the company name and product name. On the "margin" side, the document edition number, chapter number, and page number.
I can do all this manually - I just need to know what parts of this can be automated via manipulating the stylemapping.dot?
Because each chapter needs it's H/F to be customized in this way, my process is to select "generate individual documents" and "create master document" in RH's print output dialog.
If what I'm describing above can be automated, I would create as many "stylemapping.dot" templates as I have chapters, select the appropriate one at generation time, and then only have to build/cleanup TOCs in the print output.
Thanks!
