Hi,
Hope someone can help me with this problem before I open a ticket.
I have 36 different Captivate Demo Videos already imported and placed into topics in RoboHelp2020 latest version. (2020.7.46), and all the output works great but when I generate any Frameless output each folder containing the files that make up the Captivate Demo files get replicated. Every time I generate a frameless output the folders get replicated over and over with every generation. To graphically show this I include 2 images, one shows the contents of each folder (the contents are all named the same in each different folder) and the other image shows 2 folders (one named Demo and the other DemoIG) being replicated (Demo1 and DemoIG1) and so on, I had up to Demo26 when I noticed this as being the problem when generation was taking days to complete, imagine that 36x26=936 folders replicated making the generation very very slow). Is there a way to control this? Thanks in advance in any help provided!

Never heard anyone report that one. Can you make it happen with the sample project?

I am in contact with Adobe Support right now. I will try to make a sample project and try to replicate the problem there.

I was just suggesting that you insert the mp4 video file in the sample project that comes with RH and generate with that.

Thanks Jeff, Good suggestion on the MP4 and I did already tried that before, it does not work well, because the output keeps on continually playing, while the Captivate files were created to be more like image sliders with thumbnails, back and forward buttons. I think I found the problem. at your suggestion, I started from new and created a Sample Project, imported the Captivate demo file and placed it in a topic, generated it a few times, and problem solved, the folder replication is gone. Since I created all these manuals in RH10 and imported them into RH2020 maybe the conversion was problematic. at the same time, all these captivate files were created in an older version then updated to the newest Captivate2019 then inserted into RH2020. I had created a new Captivate2019 demo file and inserted it into the new (transferred from RH10) RH2020 and it also replicated that new file. so your suggestion of starting from new solved the problem as I have inserted a New and an old Captivate Demo file into the sample project and the folder replication stopped. so seems like the "Upgrade RoboHelp Classic Project" option doesn't work without problems.

Ah, old RH10 project upgraded into RH2020! In that case I would have suggested going the RH10 to RH2019 Classic route first, then RH2019 Classic to RH2019 New UI, and then into RH2020.

Thanks Jeff! Unfortunately, we did not keep updating the RH software until recently, With the death of Flash, we were forced to look for a solution, so we jumped from RH10 to RH2020. Looks like a lot more work for me now but at least I found the problem and the solution thanks to you.

Your RH2020 subscription includes RH2019 (probably for this upgrade path reason).

ok Thanks for that! so update 14 should do?

Yup - always grab the latest (RH got off the incremental upgrade path a few versions ago & went cumulative)

Same as @Jeff_Coatsworth.
Are you both generating and publishing?
