CHM with Binary TOC enabled shows blank pages

I am generating an CHM File using RoboHelp 7 with the Binary TOC option enabled. Clicking on the topics in the generated file shows blank pages which display the "This program cannot display the webpage" message.

Without Binary TOC option enabled, everything works fine. However, it is a requirement that the help should have a binary TOC.

Hi, hrmalik,

To eliminate the most obvious explanation first, can you confirm that the help file is stored locally, on your hard drive? The problem that you've described typically occurs when viewing help files that are stored remotely on a shared network drive. See Peter Grainge's site for more details:

Pete,

The CHM file is stored locally and is standalone. It has no content that is being hosted on a remote machine.

I opened the hhp file for my project in HTML Help Workshop and checked the project options. Despite that I had checked the Binary TOC option in my RH 7 project, I found that the Create a binary TOC check box in the Project options for the hhp file was not selected. I also noticed that on the General tab of Options dialog box, a wrong file was set as the Default file. Making these two corrections and compiling the project from within RoboHelp I am able to produce a CHM which does not has the problem I stated earlier. However, I'm not sure why is this happening and why do I have to go and fix the settings in HTML Help Workshop and compile my project there? Is this a known issue with RH 7? And is there a patch for it available?
You can download the RH7 service releases from here.
