Hello,
Our company has 2 web based applications that users can log into and access reporting and other tools. We currently have 2 versions of this application. A "light version" and a more "robust version"
My question is, can I use 1 Help File for both versions and target the content pertaining to the "light version" of our application where its appropriate and the more advanced content to the "robust version" of the application?
Thank you for your time!
Kevin

Sure, use conditional build tags and create 2 flavours of single source layouts – one for the light version, one for the robust version

Jeff - Thank you for the information. I will research this approach! If you have any tips please feel free to share.

Yes you can Kevin. RoboHelp has a feature that allows you to tag content and exclude content with that tag from your final output. If your "robust" version has everything but your "light" version only has some of it, you'd just need a tag for your "robust" version and use that to exclude content from the light version. The default is that untagged content is included by default.
