External cross references in RoboHelp 2020

Can you enter an external cross refence in RoboHelp 2020? For a .chm we entered ProjectName.chm::/Topic_Name.htm.

Not quite sure what you're trying to do - external html page to the project?

Yes. I want to be able to jump to a topic in another project.

You can create external hyperlinks but not external cross references. Are you aware CHMs will not work on a server?

I am trying to create a link to an .html document in another project. I am not creating .chms, I'm creating Responsive HTML 5. I misspoke about "cross-reference."

Your example link was to a CHM. You create a URL to where the external topic will be.

The tricky part is knowing that the external html file will always have to be in the same relative location/position relative to your output in the project topic with the link.
